nVidia Launches GeForce 9800 GTX+

nVidia has just launched GeForce 9800 GTX+, an overclocked 9800 GTX. This new card features core clock of 738 MHz (against 675 MHz on GeForce 9800 GTX) accessing its 512 MB GDDR3 at 1,100 MHz (the same clock as GeForce 9800 GTX) and supporting 3-Way SLI. With this launch nVidia has dropped GeForce 9800 GTX price to make it a competitor to the new Radeon HD 4850.
nVidia also made an important announcement today, which is finally the support of PhysX in the GPU. It means that all physics calculations will be performed by GPU, thus improving performance of PhysX-based games. At this time only GeForce 9800 GTX, GTX 280 and GTX 260 will have support to this feature by using a new driver (version 177.39). nVidia is promising for July a new driver that will allow PhysX for their entire product line.
